“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.”

1 Chronicles 16:11

The original series of scripture cards was the first product added to my site in 2019. I created the set in collaboration with my friend Andrea of Wonderfully Made Clothing Company and have been blown away by the impact such small cards can have on so many, including myself.

“And this word is the Good News that was preached to you!”

1 Peter 1:25

VISUAL REMINDERS

My intention with scripture cards has always been the same: to encourage myself and others to keep scripture visible throughout the day to visually remind us to look to Jesus to light our daily walk.

“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.”

1 Chronicles 16:11

Your day may start with intentional quiet time and prayer, and before you know it the house is in a full blown frenzy trying to get out the door for school and work in the morning. I get it, I’m right there with you. But, rather than feeling defeated, let’s be reminded that we are not alone as we go throughout our day.

Simple verses placed throughout your home and office can provide comfort and serve as a visual reminder to pray and ask for the help needed in that moment.

I currently have Psalm 56:3 in the kitchen for the family to see each morning. When my anxiety is high thinking of a sick family member, worrying about my children, and my neverending to-do list, the verse reminds me to put my trust in the Lord, not in people or my circumstances, and it reminds me to encourage my children to do the same. (verse included in the Light My Path set of scripture cards)

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

Psalm 56:3

MEMORIZATION

Scripture has the ability to transform our life and our thinking. Our thoughts affect our words and actions; therefore, if our minds are filled with scripture, that is what will flow from us. Colossians 3:2 reminds us to set our minds on Him, not on earthly things, and memorizing scripture is a way to do just that.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Colossians 3:2

Memorizing scripture keeps His word in our hearts and mind, as Colossians 3:16 instructs us to let the message of Christ dwell in us richly! Having scripture written on our hearts helps us in times of need, but also prepares us for the challenges ahead.

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

Colossians 3:16

Each set of our scripture cards contains verses that are perfect for memorization! Try focusing on one card at a time to memorize and then move to the next. Before long, you will have key scripture written on your heart and mind for safekeeping. One of my favorites…

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.”

Isaiah 43:1

GIFT OF EVERLASTING IMPACT

Things of this world will come and go, so why not give a thoughtful, beautiful gift that has the power to change hearts and minds. The gift of scripture is fulfilling and everlasting. Family members, neighbors, teachers, and friends need to hear the good news of Christ.

Most people are struggling through their day and are looking for a source of hope, and I pray that their hope can be found through scripture.

And, why not make it beautiful to display in your home or office too!

My prayer is that you will see scripture throughout your day and use the reminder to

refocus your thoughts on the Lord.
