Meet Kate Hutchinson of kate.h.design of Raleigh, NC
Hi! I'm Kate, and I'm an interior designer based in Raleigh, NC. In 2015 I founded kate.h.design, which is a full-service firm that specializes in residential projects all over the country, and I love what I do! I gravitate towards traditional design but my aesthetic is very clean and tailored - and I love blue and white!! Practicality is also high on my list of must-haves when designing any space. When I'm not working I'm usually spending time with my husband, Wylie, my 10 month old, James, and our dogs, Macy and Minnie.
Do you have a favorite Camilla Moss pattern or two? Tell us your favorite and why!
They are all beautiful, but April and Blakely are probably my top two! They are both timeless while still being fun, and I love the periwinkle blues in both. I just used the Blakely fabric in my sister's nursery and it was the perfect choice - it's sweet and girly but still something her youngest daughter will easily grow with.

Which design rule do you love to break?
I feel like I keep hearing everyone say they are over white kitchens but that is crazy talk because you will never, ever get tired of a white kitchen! Kitchens are expensive so I'd rather not get too trendy with those!! Also when it comes to light fixtures, go big or go home.

Biggest design splurge you’ll never regret?
Artwork! If you are still thinking about a piece of art when you walk away from it you should turn yourself right back around and buy it. You will only regret *not* purchasing a piece that you truly love.

What are you personally loving right now? {a favorite book, tv show, podcast, meal, travel experience, exercise routine, etc}
Well, I am a Swiftie so I am loving Taylor's new album at the moment. I am also on a needlepoint roll right now - I am trying to knock out one more stocking before Christmas - wish me luck because I need it!
