Do you have a favorite Camilla Moss pattern? Tell us your favorite and why!
Mary Elizabeth —I am loving the new “Babs” pattern! I love the scale and repetition of the floral print. Pink and green is just always a cheerful and happy combination that makes me smile and reminds me of my preppy childhood. :)
Juli—The Blakley was a favorite from the moment it arrived in our office! The colors are so fun and the pattern perfectly combines some my favorites ~ Who doesn't love a hydrangea in bloom?
You are wallpapering an entry room with our Savannah in Sage wallpaper. What paint color would you use as the trim?
Love the idea of a beach house entry way covered in Savannah in Sage using Farrow & Ball No. 33 Pea Green on the trim. Would be fabulous statement a nod to the tropical surroundings of the beach...we always love bringing the outdoors in! And shameless plug, we’d love to design as beach house in the near future!!
You are creating a primary bedroom with (insert textile of your choice from Camilla Moss) as your Euro Sham with a white coverlet. What fabric would you pair with it for a complimenting pattern?
Darcy in French Blue on Euro shams paired with Charlotte in Sage would be such a pretty combination!
What is your advice for playing with patterns?
Go for it! Have fun while being mindful of scale. We love to pairing florals with a ginghams or a stripe. Generally speaking, it’s great to have a larger scale fabric with a smaller scale and then maybe a solid with a fun trim. But we also love to mix patterns and even washing a space in the same pattern for maximum impact.
What design element do you find yourself drawn to the most when designing a room?
ME—-I am always drawn first to the textiles. Playing with fabrics is always my first go to for inspiration as we begin scheming and pulling ideas for a project.
Juli—I also start with textiles and can rarely pass up an opportunity to use a good stripe. The flexibility of a stripe to carry a casual room or an elevated Living room makes them so easy to work with and a coordinate for any occasion.
What interior design trends are you loving for 2025?
Truly, we don’t pay much attention to the trends, as we stick to what we believe are tried and true classics. However, we are certainly happy to see a turn back to warm wood furniture, pretty, saturated paint colors mixed with a contrasting trim, and pattern mixing!
What are you personally loving right now?
ME—All of the flowers in my garden are on the verge of blooming, so I’m kind of obsessed with checking on them and tending to them every day. Anyone else believe sweet talking to your plants help them to grow? haha! Also, our family recently went on our 3rd mission trip to small village in Belize. We are always so encouraged and inspired by the precious people there and their loving hearts and desire to grow in their faith. And from a design perspective, their love of color is so much fun!
Juli—Right now I’m loving Suits LA. Hoping some of the old cast will keep making appearances! Also, traveling the National Parks the last couple of years has been a core memory maker for our family! It has been so neat to watch them gaze in awe of creation as we see things we can’t even imagine with our minds! It is absolutely breathtaking and remarkable to see these wonders right here in the USA.
Where can we see more of your work?
We recently launched our new website and would love for you to see it and let us know what you think!
